Why you should do this route

This fantastic fell is a favourite for many in the Lakes; it’s low enough to be accessible, but rewards with wonderful views over Derwentwater. There is some scrambling involved, great as an introduction to children. Walk back along the beautiful lakeside.

Additional information

The trail follows a a well trodden route, but a map or GPS is recommended to keep you right. Hiking boots are recommended.

The scrambling may be difficult for very young children. Find more information on walking Catbells with children here.
